This tour takes in some of the most remote pubs in Australia and
the magnificent sights along the way. Our accommodation is in the
famous Hotels and we spend the days touring and visiting some of
the main attractions, often stopping at a watering hole or 2 along the way.
We depart from Broken Hill and head north through Milparinka to
Tibooburra where we stay at the famous Family Inn Hotel.
We also visit Cameron Corner, located where NSW, QLD and SA meet so today we will enjoy a drink in all 3 states. We travel through the Strezleki Desert to the Innamincka Hotel whichis situated near the banks of the Cooper Creek. We travel out to The Dig Tree and follow the footsteps of Burke and Wills. We continue north through
the remote Cordillo Downs station and see Australia’s largest shearing shed before arriving at the Birdsville Hotel , Australia’s most legendary outback pub. This is not just a remote watering hole but a genuine Australian icon. We travel south along the Birdsville Track to Mungerannie, a friendly little pub located on the edge of the Sturt Stony, Tirari, Simpson and Strezleki Deserts. In stark contrast this hotel nestles beside the trees and teeming birdlife of the Derwent River. We continue south along the Birdsville Track to The historic Maree Hotel which is situated
at the junction of the Birdsville and Oodnadatta Tracks. We visit the amazing Parachilna Hotel and enjoy a Feral Mixed Grill. We explore the Flinders Ranges and stay at the Wilpena Resort. Our final day includes visits to Hawker, Orroroo amd Yunta before returning to Broken Hill.
A real adventure and a taste of the amazing Australian Outback.
