This tour takes you to the northern most tip of Australia. From rugged and high rainforest clad mountains, low lying wetlands and savannah country to towering escarpments, rolling granite hills and wild rivers with huge waterfalls. The journey requires several river crossings and is a real 4wd adventure.

The flora and fauna range from the most delicate of orchids to the most robust of melaleucas which are home to thousands of birds, animals and reptiles.

We spend 8 magnificent days exploring this beautiful area visiting Port Douglas, Mossman Gorge, Cape Tribulation, Cooktown, Laura, Lakefield National Park, Coen and Archer River.

Our journey then continues along the tortuous Telegraph Track visiting a number of waterfalls enjoying spectacular scenery before arriving at the northern most tip of the mainland. We take a ferry trip to Thursday Island before our flight back to Cairns.

This tour can be taken either northbound commencing in Cairns or Southbound commencing at Horn Island. Air travel to or from Cairns is included in the tour price.
