Makin' Tracks tours provide a good mix of remote bush camping with all the luxuries and pub stays in some of the most lengendary pubs in Australia.

CAMPING WITH MAKIN’ TRACKS

Makin' Tracks camps in some of the most picturesque locations in Australia. We aim to offer as many remote bush camps as possible but also camp in National Parks, State Forests and Outback Stations. Most Tours offer a combination of camping and Motel or Cabin style accommodation.

Our group size has been capped at 8 to ensure we can utilise the best possible sites at all times. For some, the worst part about a camping trip is the set up and pack up process. At Makin’ Tracks you don’t have to worry about that as the Makin’ Tracks team will leave you to explore the surrounding area or just sit back and relax as they set up camp. Your tent will be erected, camp bed assembled and your bags taken to your tent.
The Makin' Tracks team also does all the cooking and no, you don’t have to do dishes as the Makin' Tracks team will take care of that.

The mornings are a time when you can enjoy a quiet breakfast and watch the day come to life before exploring more of our magnificent country. The Makin’ Tracks team will pack up camp and all you need to do is pack your personal belongings. There is no better way to camp than with Makin’ Tracks who provide only the best and most comfortable equipment and importantly do all the work for you to allow you the time to relax or explore the surrounding area.

Sleeping Arrangements
Our canvas tents are designed for the simplest of set-ups and pack-ups. At 2.6m X 2.4m and 2.1m high, each tent is designed to give each person ample room.

The Oztent touring tent uses the latest technology alloy frame and quality ripstop canvas to ensure protection no matter what the conditions.

Comfortable raised camp beds and suitable sleeping bags with sheet liners are provided according to expected conditions.

Seating
All Makin’ Tracks guests will be provided with camp chairs featuring a high back with pillow and 5 position reclining for optimum comfort when sitting around the camp fire or stretched back stargazing or satellite spotting.

Dining
All meals are provided on your own individual dining settings. Most evenings will see us dine under star-light. Optionally, there will also be an air-conditioned indoor dining area that we will utilise when the need arises.

Camp Sites
You will experience a number of camp sites while on the Makin’ Tracks tour. Take comfort in the fact that all campsites have been selected on the following criteria:
• Level surfaces
• Grassy surfaces where possible
• Scenic appeal
• Close to water source
• Sheltered from prevailing weather conditions
• Access to the best bush walks of varying levels of difficulty

On occasions we will camp near amenities. Otherwise, full access will be provided to the state-of-art Makin’ Tracks facilities.
Campfires will be lit when no restrictions are in force and evenings can be spent sharing stories around the campfire, tracking satellites or relaxing and gazing at the star filled skies.
